From 3D printing to knitting, gardening to robotics, Charleston's maker community is diverse and growing, and CCPL's new Makers in Residence Series seeks creative individuals or businesses to facilitate six introductory workshops about DIY culture and the maker movement. Programs will take place twice a month from June through August at the Main Library. Does your business provide innovative and interactive activities to the local community? Do you have a favorite skill or hobby you want to share with the public? The Makers in Residence Series is the perfect opportunity for local talent to promote their businesses and skills to an audience with similar interests. To learn more or apply to facilitate a workshop, please email summersm@ccpl.org or call 805-6930. Applications are due April 15. |
